Say Cheeseeee... :-)))

"Senyum, tak perlu kata apa-apa.. (No need to say anything, just smile)" - Malaysian tag to encourage people to smile..

:-)))

Do you still remember when was your last smile?? Heheh..

How many of you know that smiling can boost your mood and even your immune system?? Ok, maybe you'll get benefits by reading the below article.. :-))

15 Facts About Smiling
  1. Forcing yourself to smile can boost your mood: Psychologists have found that even if you’re in bad mood, you can instantly lift your spirits by forcing yourself to smile.
  2. It boosts your immune system: Smiling really can improve your physical health, too. Your body is more relaxed when you smile, which contributes to good health and a stronger immune system.
  3. Smiles are contagious: It’s not just a saying: smiling really is contagious, scientists say. In a study conducted in Sweden, people had difficulty frowning when they looked at other subjects who were smiling, and their muscles twitched into smiles all on their own.
  4. Smiles Relieve Stress: Your body immediately releases endorphins when you smile, even when you force it. This sudden change in mood will help you feel better and release stress.
  5. It’s easier to smile than to frown: Scientists have discovered that your body has to work harder and use more muscles to frown than it does to smile.
  6. It’s a universal sign of happiness: While hand shakes, hugs, and bows all have varying meanings across cultures, smiling is known around the world and in all cultures as a sign of happiness and acceptance.
  7. We still smile at work: While we smile less at work than we do at home, 30% of subjects in a research study smiled five to 20 times a day, and 28% smiled over 20 times per day at the office.
  8. Smiles use from 5 to 53 facial muscles: Just smiling can require your body to use up to 53 muscles, but some smiles only use 5 muscle movements.
  9. Babies are born with the ability to smile: Babies learn a lot of behaviors and sounds from watching the people around them, but scientists believe that all babies are born with the ability, since even blind babies smile.
  10. Smiling helps you get promoted: Smiles make a person seem more attractive, sociable and confident, and people who smile more are more likely to get a promotion.
  11. Smiles are the most easily recognizable facial expression: People can recognize smiles from up to 300 feet away, making it the most easily recognizable facial expression.
  12. Women smile more than men: Generally, women smile more than men, but when they participate in similar work or social roles, they smile the same amount. This finding leads scientists to believe that gender roles are quite flexible. Boy babies, though, do smile less than girl babies, who also make more eye contact.
  13. Smiles are more attractive than makeup: A research study conducted by Orbit Complete discovered that 69% of people find women more attractive when they smile than when they are wearing makeup.
  14. There are 19 different types of smiles: UC-San Francisco researcher identified 19 types of smiles and put them into two categories: polite “social” smiles which engage fewer muscles, and sincere “felt” smiles that use more muscles on both sides of the face.
  15. Babies start smiling as newborns: Most doctors believe that real smiles occur when babies are awake at the age of four-to-six weeks, but babies start smiling in their sleep as soon as they’re born.

8 Clues to Happiness

This article was forwarded by my senior colleague, she's like my second mother when i'm in the office..

Did you see the short message in her e-mail? So sweet of her... :-))

Read below and you will find the real meaning of happiness..

EIGHT CLUES TO HAPPINESS
By- KHUSHWANT SINGH

Having lived a reasonably contented life, I was musing over what a person should strive for to achieve happiness. I drew up a list of a few essentials which I put forward for the readers' appraisal.

1. First and foremost is GOOD HEALTH. If you do not enjoy good health you can never be happy. Any ailment, however trivial, will deduct from your happiness.

2. Second, A HEALTHY BANK BALANCE. It need not run into billions but should be enough to provide for creature comforts and something to spare for recreation, like eating out, going to the pictures, traveling or going on holidays on the hills or by the sea. Shortage of money can be only demoralizing. Living on credit or borrowing is demeaning and lowers one in one's own eyes.

3. Third, A HOME OF YOUR OWN. Rented premises can never give you the snug feeling of a nest which is yours for keeps that a home provides: if it has a garden space, all the better. Plant your own trees and flowers, see them grow and blossom, cultivate a sense of kinship with them.

4. Fourth, AN UNDERSTANDING COMPANION, be it your spouse or a friend. If there are too man misunderstandings, they will rob you of your peace of mind. It is better to be divorced than to bicker all the time.

5. Fifth, LACK OF ENVY towards those who have done better than you in life; risen higher, made more money, or earned more fame. Envy can be very corroding; avoid comparing yourself with others.

6. Sixth, DO NOT ALLOW OTHER PEOPLE to descend on you for gossip. By the time you get rid of them, you will feel exhausted and poisoned by their gossip-mongering.

7. Seventh, CULTIVATE SOME HOBBIES which can bring you a sense of fulfillment, such as gardening, reading, writing, painting, playing or listening to music. Going to clubs or parties to get free drinks or to meet celebrities is waste of time.

8. Eighth, every morning and evening, devote 15 minutes to INTROSPECTION. In the morning, 10 minutes should be spent on stilling the mind and then five in listing things you have to do that day. In the evening, five minutes to still the mind again, and ten to go over what you had undertaken to do.

RICHNESS is not Earning More, Spending More Or Saving More, but ... "RICHNESS IS WHEN YOU NEED NO MORE"

After all, this is my final choice "Pinang Emas Apartment" in Batu Feringgi (yet to confirm, still need to seek some advice from friends and family, hehe..).. Although it's very far away from my current house (it took 2 hours for me to reach there by public bus) but i'll TRY my best to stick to it..

Pinang Emas Apartment

Car park lot

Cafe and Mini Market just below the units

Living room

Small space for kitchen, suitable for bachelor or newly married couple

Serious Note: Heart Attacks!

Yes! No joke..
This is a serious note about heart attacks..

Human Heart

Women should know that not every heart attack symptom is going to be the left arm hurting. Be aware of intense pain in the jaw. You may never have the first chest pain during the course of a heart attack. Nausea and intense sweating are also common symptoms.

60% of people who have a heart attack while they're asleep do not wake up. Pain in the jaw can wake you from a sound sleep. Be careful and be aware.

Simple Truth (18SX)

I received an e-mail that contains obscenities from one of my colleague yesterday. When i began to read the first sentence, i do not feel comfortable but i kept reading till the last line..

In the end, i can feel that these words are true and it does make sense in our lives.. :-))

SIMPLE TRUTH 1

Partners help each other undress before sex
However, after sex the always dress on thier own.

Moral of the story: "In life, no one helps you once you're screwed."

SIMPLE TRUTH 2

When a lady is pregnant, all her friends touch the stomach and saying "Congrats".
But, none of them come and touch the man's penis and say "Good job".

Moral of the story: "Hard work is never appreciated."

Note: Who agree with me?? Hands up!

My Lovely Mug

Mug? Yes.. Need a defination? Hehe.. It's a sturdily built with handles and often hold a larger amount of fluid.. Used for drinking hot beverages such as coffee, tea or hot chocolate..

I have my own lovely mug which ONLY me can use on it.. :-))

My Special "Black Mug"

Why is it so special? Because..... It's a gift from my loved ones.. Actually, we bought it pairs, eventhough it's not a couple mugs.. What distinguishes it is the color of the mug itself.. Mine is Black and the other one is Maroon..

Talking about mug, do you know what is the most expensive mug in the world??

Well, Weber's old mug may be the worlds most expensive plinking target.. The cup is actually made of solid gold, and is a rare, ancient artwork, crafted over 2300 years ago. The unusual mug, decorated with twin, opposite-facing female heads, was appraised with a value exceeding one-quater million dollars ($250,000)!

Most Expensive Mug "Weber's Gold Cup"

Where the hell was this John Weber get this TREASURE? Hehehe..

Actually he was given this metal mug by his grandfather in 1945. Though his grandfather had a "good eye" for antiques, John never thought the metal mug was worth much. He played with it as a child, and even used it as a target for his air rifle (What?? Eyes rolling).. The mug, assumed to be brass, has languished in a shoe box under Weber's bed for decades..

Custom Clearance in China

OMG.. Why did this happen to me??

Shipment Tracking System

China Customs is killing me with their madness, ridiculous and crazy requests.. Grrrrr..! (pull hair)

On the end of July last month i've sent 4 pieces of garment from Malaysia to China via one of the well-known courier service in the world (i guess so).. Normally it will take 2 or 3 working days to reach consignee, but due to some circumstances, my cargo was held by China custom for nearly 2 weeks!!

There was lots of email flying here and there just because of this one particular shipment, as well as the conversation which is like hell of course.. Uff! I hate it..

I just wondering why they dont have a proper guidelines of the value for us to declare accordingly so that there's no such cases as UNDERVALUE shipment..? Yes, that was the real reason for my cargo delayed..

Example of KJ3 Form

In this case, you will need to fill up some form which is similar like KJ3 Form together with the explanation letter. For your information, my first revised document submitted to custom was rejected.. So, in order to avoid any further more delay, i did revised again the value 2 times higher than the first submission but it was still unaccepted..! Finally, the custom itself advised that the unit price should be at least USD50 and AGAIN asked me to revise the paperwork as per requested.. This is what i could not understand, why cant they just inform me earlier? Seriously, they are wasting my time..

The sad part is, this is not the first time i'm facing this kind of problem involving those fussiness customs.. :-(((
