Langkawi Trip 1 - Car Rental in Langkawi

The first post for the first year of 2014..

I just wish i could kick away and let the indolence flying through the Pacific Ocean immediately..! **smack forehead**

Okay, enough with that ferocious action. Here the trip begin....... :-)))

We started our 2014 mood with a very happy, enjoy and HOT family trip that ever happened in my life. There were 11 people involved in this 5D4N journey in Langkawi. Actually this was my first time planning an itinerary for a group. Although it was a little difficult as compared to individual (solo) travel plans, but at the end of the trip, i could feel the satisfaction. Due to the trip this time involved children and disabled person, thus, places visited were also very limited. I have tried my best to make them happy, and yes, they were happy.. *big grin*

We went there by plane as AirAsia came out with a promotion price for domestic fly from Penang last year. It was only RM78/guest which really cheap i guess and fast too (less than 20 minutes). If you take ferry from Penang to Langkawi via Pulau Payar, two way ticket will cost you around  RM100+ for adult and RM80+ for children and the journey will take about 2 hrs 30 minutes approx. So worth it right?

We reached Langkawi Airport around 5pm, but we ended up waited for our car like almost 30 minutes. Actually it was my mistake, i should've call that car rental service owner when i'm at Penang Airport, but i forgot.

Okay, these are my review on the selected service.


Avanza - Anox Travel


Saga BLM - Anox Travel

1/ I booked 2 cars (Avanza and Saga BLM) with Anox Travel because i found out their rate are more cheaper compared to others.

2/ They offer me RM90/day for Avanza and RM70/day for Saga BLM. Upon booking you are requested to pay deposit for RM50/car, like other places, the purpose is to secure your booking.

3/ Both car condition was okay and acceptable.

4/ Few thing that need to improve.
- 1. The car was dusty.
*Please at least wash your car before hand it to customer.*
- 2. Fuel tank was almost empty.
*It's quite risky especially to those who are 'new' in this place because the distance between one petrol station to another is very far. The first place we went once we moved out from the airport was petrol station.*

5/ On the 2nd day, Saga BLM broke down. Luckily at that time we were still at our guesthouse, i called up the owner and he said he will send over another car with no extra charges. We have waited for almost 2 hours and finally the replacement car arrived (Proton Iswara), but it was quite disappointing. No aircond, fuel gauge are not working and dusty.. Haihhh... What a bad day... *wiping sweat*

So, overall rating out of 10 is...... 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 ! Muahahaha... *evil laugh*
